Zara joined the administrative team in July 2025. Before joining Gold Jennings, Zara worked for one year as a human rights fellow at an international law firm based out of Washington, DC. Prior to working, Zara graduated from the University of Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in Law, Letters & Society and Human Rights.
In their previous role, Zara managed communications and research on the case of a political prisoner arbitrarily detained in Azerbaijan, as well as co-researched and authored a report on the Responsibility to Protect doctrine in Haiti. As an undergraduate, Zara produced original research on the impact of climate change on internally displaced persons in Pakistan, as funded by the Stamps Scholars Foundation.
