Inquest into the death of Johanna Line to begin on Monday 3 August 2026

Johanna Line died in 2020 shortly after twice reporting serious domestic abuse to Gloucestershire Constabulary. Despite the police and other agencies assessing the risk to Jo’s life as “high”, and a suspect being arrested, her reports resulted in no prosecution and there was no multi-agency response before her tragic death at the age of just 28.

The inquest at Gloucester Coroner’s Court will examine the circumstances surrounding her death.

Joahnna’s family are represented by Robert Hamill of Gold Jennings, instructing Paula Kelly of 1 Crown Office Row. Media enquiries should be directed to Robert Hamill at robert@goldjennings.co.uk or by phone at 0208 445 9268.
