Jess joined Gold Jennings as a trainee solicitor in October 2024. Before joining Gold Jennings, Jess studied for her Master of Arts in Law at the University of Sussex. She was awarded a distinction, and her dissertation focused on the criminalisation of poverty.
Prior to studying for her masters, Jess worked in the homeless sector, supporting those experiencing homelessness to access legal advice for housing, community care and immigration matters. She has also recently volunteered at Liberty Human Rights, where she provided advice to members of the public on a range of topics including their rights when interacting with the police.
