Administrator

Location – Farringdon, EC1V 4JP (office-based)

Full-time role – 9.30-17.30 (35 hours per week)

Start date – Immediate

Salary – £27,000 per annum

We are seeking an enthusiastic Administrator to join our firm at our office based in Farringdon, London.

 

Our firm

We are an award-winning specialist civil liberties firm.  We undertake a broad range of private and public law litigation for claimants. We are recommended in both Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500 directories.

As a firm we remain committed to undertaking publicly funded work and acting for marginalized individuals and groups. The majority of our clients’ cases are funded by the Legal Aid Agency.

 

The role

The role forms part of the firm’s Practice Team and is intrinsic to its success.  You will support the firm’s Office Manager through a wide range of administrative and procedural responsibilities to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the firm.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for a highly organised candidate with a good commercial awareness.

An excellent working knowledge of Office365 is essential – in particular, Outlook, Word and Excel – and be able to produce accurate spreadsheets.

Experience in working within a simple regulatory framework is also important.

Previous experience in a civil legal aid firm would be an advantage but is not necessary.

Experienced Civil Claims and Inquest Solicitor Required (8+ years PQE) 

Gold Jennings is a leading civil liberties and human rights law firm based in Central London (EC1V). We are campaigning lawyers with a commitment to legal aid.  We undertake exclusively claimant work.  

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and committed solicitor/legal executive to assist in leading our Civil Actions against Public Authorities team, which comprises an experienced team of litigators who bring a wide range of claims against public authorities and conduct inquests. 

The successful applicant will have at least 8 years’ post qualification experience with solid and wide-ranging experience in civil claims and inquests, as well as an established referral network.   

The successful applicant will take on some supervision and line management responsibilities for qualified staff and trainees and will also help with the management of the firm.  

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will join at a senior level.
